The psychology of labels and how they apply to sexality

It’s interesting how my tastes have changed over the last 10 years. I remember being 18 and being totally hot for the twinky sorta androgynous guys, but I guess gradually, I have leaned towards the type of guys that are more manly. I don’t necessarily mean bears (I should probably note that I don’t think that there is anything wrong with twinks, bears, femmes, etc! just making an observation about my tastes here!) but that category that falls between twinks and bears. I guess that is probably why a lot of gay guys like the “straight” guy. It has more to do with the whole persona that just a look….I mean, the look is important, but I guess it is combined with mind-set, personality….the whole package. I even know a couple of gay guys that won’t sleep with another gay guy. The only guys that they will take to bed are the “straight” ones…I would assume that it would take a lot of work to always get the “straight” guy into bed. I mean, the whole planning and the subtle conquering of inhibitions must take a lot of groundwork before it finally pays off. Maybe that is the thrill…knowing that you have successfully waged war against cultural inhibitions and broken down your adversaries front-line. Interesting…Guess I never thought about it that way. I really find the psychology behind labels interesting….
